EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT


In the spirit of the season, this event is going to be a doubt whammy. Valentines Day is February 14 and Chinese New Year is February 19. You know what that means? We're celebrating both!

Valentines Day Event
On February 14 hundreds of thousands of valentines cards will litter the streets of Haven, stirred up by the wind to float through the city like confetti. Anyone who reads a card will develop intense feelings for the next person they speak to. Do you fall madly in love with your next conversational partner? Do you become lustfully obsessed? Or perhaps, instead of love, intense hate buds in your heart? Maybe even extreme guilt? Over what? Perhaps that not-so-flattering thought you had about them last month.

Whatever the feelings, you now have to work out what to do with them. Do you profess your undying love? Do you try to seduce your target into bed? Or maybe you plot their murder? Or perhaps you think of every way you can to gain their forgiveness?

You are welcome to read more than one card, of course, and speak to as many as you like. Plan, play, and have fun with the fallout.

Chinese New Year
As you likely know by now, this is the year of the Ram. In honor of the new year there will be various areas around Haven that will give you certain...characteristics. If you happen upon one of these areas you will find yourself with a lovely set of ram's horns and ears, and a compulsive need to ram your head against hard surfaces or other people.

Event End
Event will end on Saturday, February 21

Maybe not /horrible/ things, but I feel obligated to plot things because Beast Wars was the best show in my childhood. SO MUCH NOSTALGIA.

ETA: I do have an idea for something, but its not storm-related and its feasibility depends on how the exploration thread goes.

Well, if the team retreats without recovering all of the items they'll find if/when they explore enough, I could very easily see our ladies all for attempt number two. After all, it isn't like Blackarachnia to leave a MacGuffin behind, and Sam has a spell which could possibly allow her to approach the three without the reanimated guardians registering her presence as an intruder. Granted, she won't know until she tries, but trying is tempting, because hey---two of those three things, a human could move.

Trying is also, unfortunately, risky, because Sam can't move quickly on foot. She'd be willing to test her spell---and to volunteer that it's an option---but if the spell doesn't work she's going to need some assistance to make it out of the guarded area before she's mauled.

XD BA's always up for a little adventure, especially if its recovering something useful or originally hers or idk even anymore. So yeah, will willing to try attempt #2

....And potentially save Sam's ass if it comes to that.

Sam will be delighted. Not just because she prefers to see things thriugh to some kind of conclusion, or because she appreciates people willing to save her ass (although she does and if it comes to that Blackarachnia will have witchery worked for her in thanks for quite a while) but also because it is nice to have someone closer to her own level to converse with.

PFFT. We should totally go with the opposite of what they'd naturally lean towards. Breakdown sounded like he kinda had a bit of interest in Arachnid, at least a little, and he's not to the point when she's....a problem yet in his canon, so he'd probably warm up to her pretty quickly naturally, assuming Blackarchnia didn't do anything to piss him off anyway. So...flip that and he hates her and she loves him? Y/N/Thoughts?

Considering Blackarachnia would lean towards hating him or at least being neutral towards him on a good day.

So, definitely Yes. It will definitely throw BA for a loop once its over cause she's still pretty attached to Silverbolt after all of this time. And then afterwards who knows what happens?
