Information Update
So game start has kicked off and is on to a good start. By this point I'm sure everyone has a few questions, so let me see if I can answer them all for you.
Where are we?
You're on Cybertron! I know, I know, it doesn't quite look as you expected. Some of you awoke in places very clearly.....organic. Be assured, this is Cybertron. Here are some landmarks you'll have noted.
The center of the city is taken up by two massive buildings. One looks like a giant warehouse. Feel free to explore it, you'll find anything and everything you can imagine in there (within reason). The other building is what will likely interest most of you. This building is built around a central sitting area, a large atrium. Branching off from there are two restaurants (one that serves food and one that serves various energon goodies), a bar (noted by a sign that reads "There's no place, like this place, near this place, so this must be the place. Your Place Bar"), and even apartments for both Cybertronians and organics.
Spreading out from there are more houses and little specialty shops, even what appears to be a news station. You're welcome to move in wherever, be that in the center of the city or closer to the outreaches.
Each Sector around the city is different, as you all learned upon waking. Here's the most basic breakdown, as we don't want to reveal too much too fast. Have fun exploring!
North - Mountainous and craggy, exactly the kind of jagged look you'd expect to find on Cybertron.
Northeast - Mountains continue here, the higher area covered in snow and ice.
East - Deep gorge.
Southeast - Flat, metal and dirt plane covered in craters.
South - More mountains, though....one place right in the middle looks like there should be a peak....but there isn't one.
Southwest - Grassy plains, orchards, a vineyard, fields, and a large farm.
West - Very hot, another place that looks as Cybertron should. Many caves, and a forest of crystal trees
Northwest - an expanse of trees...normal, organic trees. How weird.
How do we get around?
Well, as most of you are vehicles of some sort, that works, but keep in mind that the city is very, very larges, the outer edges reaching a total of about 250 miles, or what would be about a 3-4 hour drive at regular freeway speeds.

THERE IS A FASTER AND EASIER WAY TO GET AROUND, THOUGH. All throughout the city are portals called Gateways. The farther you get from the center of the city, the fewer Gateways you'll find, but they're there and will take you instantly from one place to another. They're basically ground bridges. All of your characters will have used these once already as Galos will lead them to one to reach the city. Though...it's possible they refused to go with him.
If anyone takes a close look at the edge of any Gateway, they'll find "Bulkhead" carved into the side like it's a brand name.
How about communication?
Galos will make sure everyone picks out one of those hovering disc drones he brought with him. Think of Weebo from Flubber, only not as intelligent. Your personal drone can be any color and any size you want to best fit your character and their desires, though none will be larger than a human child (think the size of an iPad made for Cybertronians). These drones can let your character communicate over the network through video, audio, or text.
Okay, so I'm on Cybertron, I can now communicate, but what if my character wants to explore? How do I know what's out there to find?
Very good question. A separate post will be going up shortly just for this. As you decide to have your character explore, we'll ask you to drop by the post and plop some information there. This won't be a sign-up post, you don't need permission to explore, but if you'll drop in there and let us know where your character is exploring, we'll be able to tell you more about what they may find. This will help expand the world for everyone while allowing you, the players, to participate in discovering the new home your characters have found themselves in.
And on that note, feel free to start posting and exploring!
And there's one final thing you need to know....
While injuries have been patched up, full repairs will be impossible at the moment. There's something strange going on here. Those who heal or have automatic repair systems will find they're not getting better as they should be. Those with boons of healing left over from the First-forged may notice this first. Even going to our good healer will only prove partially helpful. If your injured character goes to see Paian, then minor wounds can be healed and greater wounds patched, but greater wounds won't heal completely.
