ANNOUNCEMENTS - Item Drop and Events
Hello Kismet! I've got a number of announcements to cover, all of them event related. Please read through everything carefully and feel free to use this post to plot or ask questions.
Item Drop
For those who know Dirge, you are likely aware that he had been trying to find a way to eat a certain human without the worry of being haunted. A number of citizens made a valiant attempt to talk him down, to change his mind about eating people. You all know who you are.
Everyone who made an attempt to talk Dirge down, successful in their personal efforts or not, will receive a military style medal in honor of their peace keeping efforts.
These items will appear immediately in the place of your choice for your character.
Next up we have events. Yes, plural.
Event 1
In honor of Saint Patrick's Day the city will be full of rainbows. These rainbows you actually will be able to reach the end of, and the ends of some may be right in the middle of the city. What will you find at the end of the rainbow? Well, the typical pots of gold in some cases, but that's not the only possibility.
Possible things you'll find at the end of a rainbow:
Gold - Well, what else were you expecting? The question is, is it real gold? Chocolates wrapped in gold-colored foil? Gold-colored plastic? Buckets or bottles of gold paint? Gold cloth? Take your pick.
Leprechaun - You all know the stories of Leprechauns right? Catch one and you get wishes? Well, catch one of these and you'll indeed get a wish. Be careful though, the fae will take your words very literally.
Robo Leprechaun - These little drones are like the things you find in stores. Call them creepy, call them cute, their painted faces will always have a smile. When turned on they'll become motion activated. They'll tip their hat and give a chipper "Top o'the mornin' to ya!" to everyone that walks by.
Skittles - It's your chance to taste the rainbow! These pots are just full of Skittles candy.
You're not limited to the treasures of one rainbow, not at all. Like what you find? Make a mistake with your wish and need to find another Leprechaun to undo the damage? Just want more candy? Go find another rainbow end!
When is this event? This event will actually be after Saint Patrick's Day. It will start on March 22 and will end on midnight EST March 28. An announcement will go up Midnight EST, March 21 to start the Event.
Event 2
Another fun day is coming up in this week. April Fools Day! That's right. We hope you had fun with your gold things, candy, toys, and wishes. Now things are going to get a little chaotic, especially if you took anything from the end of a rainbow.
Gold - Did you take gold from the end of a rainbow? You will now have the Midas Touch. Thankfully it won't affect everything you touch, it seems to kind of be sporadic. One time you'll touch that shelf and nothing will happen, the next time...gold! There's another catch, though, whatever gold you found is what things will turn into, so you won't necessarily be turning things into real gold. Find more than one kind of gold while searching? Then your results will vary from touch to touch, from nothing happening to turning what you touch into a random "gold" item.
Leprechaun - Did you make a wish? Any wish? Did it go well? Whatever the outcome of your wish it's now going to end up...twisted. Wish for a puppy? Your puppy may end up gigantic ala Clifford the Big Red Dog. Wish to be skinny? You may find yourself paper thin. Wish for a loved one to be there? They'll no longer act like themselves, they may even stop looking like themselves. In any case your wish will start to go sour.
Robo Leprechaun - Did you take one of these silly decorations? This is one toy you'll wish you'd left behind. The robotic toys will come to life, so to speak, and will start to cause damage to anyone and anything around them. They're more likely to destroy items, but if someone gets in the way they will attack without hesitation. If they attack they will be vicious and relentless.
Skittles - Did you find and eat any Skittles? You'll become a walking candy dispenser! Everywhere you walk you'll be followed by a rainbow trail, the end of which will turn into a rain of Skittles. No sneaking around for you this week!
When will this event start? This event will start when the other ends, on March 29, and will end April 4 at midnight EST.
